MY STORY & PHILOSOPHY

My name is Alexxus Lewis, and I was born in Statesboro Georgia and I now have been residing in South Carolina for over 13 years. I have received my bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts at Clemson University in 2021. I am an artist of two different mediums which is printmaking and ceramics. I am now pursuing my dreams as being an AutoCAD Drafter and Designer and becoming a part time business owner of making ceramics.

In the years of 2019 to 2021 I have learned the processes of hand building ceramics and wheel throwing. Wheel throwing has become one of my best talents in over just a few years and I love the aspect of creating clay into a beautiful piece of artwork. I am most interested in creating functional ceramics while exploring different designs and glazes that are beautiful to the human eye.

For my online business Lex Pottery, I will be selling functional handmade food safe ceramics. My items arrange from cups, pots, vessels, lidded jars, and mugs.
